    My GC2 Battery died.

My battery gave up. I sent a few e mails to Foresight to ask for a replacement but I am not getting a response. Can somebody steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

Additional question: I assume that the GC2 will not work without a battery. I don't really need it because it is continuously on A/C in my SIM room.

Yes, it will work fine without a battery. I took mine to a Batteries Plus and had them rebuild one for $49. I think it took them about two weeks.

Just so that I understand: currently my CG2 is switching off all the time and the display says that the battery is at 6.49V. Should I remove the battery for the unit to work just on A/C?

Did you have a battery rebuild or the GC2 unit itself?

Does it still switch off when it is plugged in? Even if the battery is shot, it should still work when it is plugged in. If not, then it might be your power supply that is bad. In that case, I would get a new power supply before getting the battery rebuilt. This one from Amazon works well.

If you do need to get the battery rebuilt, you can take it out of the GC2 and just bring the battery pack into Batteries Plus. As long as the GC2 is plugged in, you can still use it without the battery in it, so you won't have any down time while it is getting rebuilt.

Yeah, it switches off when plugged in. I'll have a look at the power supply. Thanks!

OK I was not thinking. I plugged it in an outlet which was switched off. Working fine now!
