New CG2 owner - Q about software

I got my hands on a CG2. I’m now looking at software and computer options.
a) does anyone sell the software and computer? When I search used I typically find people selling the entire set up.

b) I’m probably going to put this on our patio (summer) and garage (winter) so will go with a more “mobile” set up. Maybe no overhead projector rather a TV/monitor on the side. Curious if anyone has done this. Any suggestions?

I think you will find many answers to questions by reading various threads on GC2 on the forum.

computer is basically what every you can find so long as it meets min specs for software you are looking to run. . Question is if you require a laptop or not.

as for software. Search for The Golf Club 2019 (TGC 2019). Or you can go with Foresight software.

Lots of reading to do, but when you find something relevant and have question, I suspect you will find plenty of people here willing to help.

Here are some of the various software options:

Foresight:
-Current Software - FSX 2020 (older FSX versions, FSX 2018, FSX 2015)
-Original Software - FR1

TGC 2019 - Check out the online shop here in the the forum or the classifieds section.

Protee Play - Arcade type games, ranges and combine.

E6 - Must also have a FSX 2020 license

Depending on what you're looking for (practice vs. courses) and how much you want to spend, all of the above offer different experiences. Here's my two cents:

-FSX - Nice graphics and practice options. Expensive and courses are expensive. They did just come out with FSX pro (free if you have FSX 2020), which looks promising.

-FR1 - Dated graphics, but not bad. If you're just looking for a range/data, this may be the cheapest option and the range is good. The software pops up frequently, but they don't always come with the green security dongle, which is required to run the software.

-TGC 2019 - Great option if you're looking for lots of different courses. Also has some ranges, but not the data collection that Foresight has. Price isn't too bad.

-Protee Play - Arcade type games are just ok. My kids played them a few times, but that's about it. The ranges are ok. The combine is probably the best part of it. About a year ago, pre-covid, Protee said that they were going to completely redo/update it, but I haven't seen anything since. I sent them an email a couple months ago and they said they were still working on it, but didn't have a time frame.

-E6 - I haven't actually used this one, but the price is higher considering you have to have FSX first.

I’m leaning towards

TGC 2019. I’m wondering if I can buy a computer and the software used from someone upgrading to a TM or another system.

I have TGC 2019 for sim play and use the free foresight fitting performance app on iPad for range sessions. It gives you all the information you need for practice.
