FSX 2020 Software Installation v7.7.0.4 Online

Has anyone downloaded and installed the update posted on March 16, 2021? Can you still use TGC2019 after your update. Below is what it says the fixes are:

Yes, I downloaded and installed yesterday. Hit at the FSX2020 range. Then, played TGC2019 right afterwards with zero issues.

FSX update is software it has no impact on TGC.
Only hardware updates ( firmware ) can affect other software from working.

thanks guys. I am having issues with GC2 registering shots but not getting them to show up in FSX or TGC2019. Took a few reboots, went to FSX to make sure the ball was tracking, then launched TGC2019 and all worked. I have been noticing that FSX will not notice shots but GC2 is stating it is seeing them? I have checked all connections, the latest firmware and most updated software. Thoughts on why this could be happening all of a sudden? Started about 2 weeks ago.

I only use FSX for range and no problem with GC2 connection. I do occasionally get an issue with TGC 2019. Using USB connection. Maybe 1 out of 50 is read on GC2, but not sent to TGC 2019. I notice it when playing rounds, but don’t recall it happening at any TGC range although 50 balls is a lot for me at range.

What’s comms you using usb or Bluetooth
Never had a missed shot by the software but GC2 picks it up, unless not connected.
You saying this scenario had happened...
1. saw shot ,saw shot ,missed shot, saw shot
or
2. saw shot, saw shot , missed shots from there on ( so comms has dropped)

Been coding my own challenge and performance games using GC2 and never had scenario 1 happen.

scenario 2. works fine at boot up and then at shot 9 I lose the connection. Yesterday it was shot 15. I will have to search for the comm's to see the settings. they were all set according to TGC so that would work. What is weird as I never once had a connection issue but just seems to go a little of the wires.

Having the same issue with E6 software purchased through Foresight. My FSX2020 works fine. E6 on any course will register shot on quad, but may or may not show on the course...... Sporadic. Foresight said its a E6 issue, E6 says it's a Foresight problem. Question for any E6 via Foresight. What is your IP address. Mine is "localhost". I am quite frustrated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Reduced Sand Penalty Outside of 40 Yards

BOOM. That there is a good fix. Curious how the rest of the lie penalties have been tweaked.

I just hit a few shots on Carnoustie with the new software version.

• Fairway bunker took off about 8% of carry distance, and I did not notice variation over 6-8 shots. This is a significant game-changer. Previously fairway bunkers had to be avoided at all costs - now you are ok so long as there is no lip problem (which is basically like golf).
• Lie Penalty took off 10-20% of carry distance, and seemed variable within that range (maybe it's 10, 15, or 20% off). I am fine with this. Not sure anything has changed.
• Severe Lie Penalty took off about 40-60% of carry distance and was definitely variable. Again I'm not sure anything has changed. So Carnoustie is still brutal.

Guys - outside of these small updates, is there news or timeline on a full release from Foresight with a new graphics engine or will this still be stuck in the 80's?

Updated the software and an e now experiencing lagging or skipping graphics on ball flight. It definitely is 100% related to the software update because I was hitting balls on the range and everything was fine then I updated the software and then went back to hitting balls and now it’s not smooth at all. So pissed. I hate calling foresight because they act like every problem I’ve had (like 2) this is the first time they’ve ever heard of it. Such a time suck.

YES! There are two of us that I know of (me and @MMlincoln) that are having the exact same problem and can't figure out what it is. We haven't told FS about it but someone did on our behalf. We had a similar issue before and it was linked to MSI Dragon Center, but it isn't that this time. Any chance you have any MSI hardware? Just trying to figure out why this is only affecting a few. It really sucks.

I do not have any MSI hardware (not sure what that even is) but this is so aggravating. Foresight just cannot get their software right. They need to figure this out ASAP.

Add me to the list as well. I just upgraded a couple of days ago and noticed this immediately. It is not severe but it is noticeable. I initially thought it was maybe slow internet or something else - glad I saw this thread. Hopefully they will sort this out very soon.

No way to roll back to previous version unless someone knows a trick.

can't you check your downloads and see if an older version is in there then just re-install?

Hmm - interesting. I am pretty rigid about cleaning out old files on my regular pc but they might still be there on the golf pc. I will check. Anyone have any issues with backwards upgrades?

easy to just install the last version and it goes back no prob. If you can't find it, pm me and I'll figure out a way to get it to you. I have them ALL since I have lots of space.

Thx Baller - yes I do have it still in the downloads folder but thanks for the offer. I will see if they offer up the Beta in the next day or so (I guess it will be after Easter though) before I go backwards.

If anyone is having this problem, email them so they know. I wish I had sooner. They provided me with a beta version that is supposed to address this but I can't test myself until later today.
