FSX 2020 Software Installation v7.7.0.4 Online

Has anyone downloaded and installed the update posted on March 16, 2021? Can you still use TGC2019 after your update. Below is what it says the fixes are:

FSX 2020 Version 7.7.0.4 Includes:

• Customizable Data Tiles in Improve Mode
• Updated Scorecard to Show Strokes Taken on Current Hole
• Reduced Lie Penalty Effect on Penalized Shots, Reduced Sand Penalty Outside of 40 Yards
• Minimap Will Now Show All Ball Tracers
• Added Option to Keep Swing Videos When Closing Session
• Fix Auto-Putt Bug
• Fixed Bug Requesting to Activate League Courses in League Play
• Fix Inside Six Ft Incorrectly Displaying Distance To Pin
• Fix Local Contests changing tees on software restart
• Fix Player order at hole start when there is a tie on a previous hole

I was told by tech support that they are aware and working on a fix. For now they suggest to go to fsx 2020 settings tab and set onscreen data to “windowed” setting .

Interesting, this does not seem to be a universal problem. I've not seen any performance issue.

There are issues with this release but it strangely doesn't affect everyone. Only some, me included. They already have a fix but only released a beta to those affected and reported.

So I did get an email response to my trouble ticket - unfortunately they only offered up the windowed view as opposed to the beta for some reason. Hopefully the update will not be too much linger though as the weather improves here we are looking to golf outside vice indoors. First round last Sunday!

Ditto in the lagging jerky graphics after update, sure enough have complained for a fix to be released soon.

Another one with the issue here. I'll try the "windowed" bandaid and report back.
