Hi, I’m a Quad owner but my little guy has taken up golf and he’s a lefty. Has anyone made the switch to the Hawk? I never use my quad outdoors so that wouldn’t matter to me but I have heard the Hawk can be inconsistent? My local golf shop had the Hawk and switched to the quad after having too many issues so I’m a bit skeptical. Thank you for any input.

Long shot, but are you in Calgary? There is a facility here that has one bay with a Hawk. -
I have three young kids and also a Quad owner. Even if they were left handed I would force them to be right with all the kids clubs I have laying around. Is it too late to switch. haha jkComment

Here in Ottawa the Golf Towns have all installed Hawks in their fitting bays. I have not done a direct comparison but if you could find a retail outlet or fitter with a Hawk, you could bring your Quad along and compare. Just a thought.Comment

Sorry I'm late here but I have a Hawk and like it a lot. One of my friends has a kid who's a lefty and it works real well that he just tosses a ball down like the righties do.
Consistent? I think it is. When a ball goes farther/shorter/lefter/righter the data supports that difference.
I'll have to say that this is my first simulator, so I don't have anything to compare with. Like anything that operates with a PC, there are times when it will freeze for a second or the screen goes black but within 15 seconds, I'm back to hitting balls. Annoying? Yes, but I get over it pretty quickly. And, one time I got a hole in one on my fourth shot on 4 par at Spyglass. That was different.
I like that there isn't a target (a Quad) that could easily get whacked by my grand daughter when it's close to where she's swinging.
All in all I'd get it again.

I also bet the resale on the Quad would be pretty eyewatering as well. Not sure if the Hawks are backordered as most of he other systems but you may want to jump on that as early as you can - I am hearing well into the summer for some systems.....Comment

There was someone selling a Hawk on the forum last year. I think it took him over 6 months to sell and it was offered at a pretty good discount. So much so that I really thought about it (but was still very happy with my TM).Comment

I am a Hawk owner and love it so far. We had a lot of no spin reads the first few months but that issue is just about gone for those who play on it a lot. We figured out you have to be deeper in the box for driver because of the higher ball speeds. I would highly recommend!! Enjoy!Comment
