GCquad smash 1.58

Hi,

I'm routinely getting 1.58 smash with my driver lately. My driver speed is usually around 105 and it's measuring at 100 or just below. Ballspeed is around 155-157. Has anybody experienced this and does the unit need to be calibrated?

Yeah something looks off on that smash. 100mph club speed wouldn’t generate ball speed of 155-157. I think the quad is maximized at 1.48 smash factor. What carry distances are you getting?

Is it reading all the dots? If not, I would bet it's reading a dot on the heel for club speed, which is slower and therefore getting an incorrect smash.

Move the tee further back in the hitting zone. I get some weird club data when the tee is at the very front of the hitting zone too. Moving it back fixed mine

I'm getting 260ish.

Yes, I have seen it.

No...its always one dot read when there are 4 dots. I'll try one dot and see what happens.

Yeah, that's likely the problem.

And it should be reading all of them. Esp on driver! My driver dots last about as long as a driver does!

Which driver head are you using? Take a look at TXG's channel and see if they have tested the head you're using. They'll probably have applied the fiducials in a pattern that you can try and check whether that changes the readings. The unit is most likely only reading the single fiducial closest to the heel.
