GC Quad real life test of large Hooks/Slices on Real Driving Range?

Was wondering if any GC Quad owners could share their experience on the Quad picking up massive (60 yards or more right or left) hooks and slices? Has anyone gone to a real range, seen real ball flight on these big hooks/slices and does the GQ quad accurately pick up on the slice/hook? If its off, how far off is the GC quad on these type of wild shots.

For me true ball flight (right/left distance) is more important than correct distance

Haven't done it in a while, but I have a real tendency to severely hook the ball and I feel the quad shows it spot on or very close.

Lots of people will tell you that Foresight products overcook spin axis and possibly fail to decay the rate of spin enough over ball flight. Many also complain they’re draw biased, but I think that’s rubbish as I can easily produce the same results with draws/hooks and fades/slices.

Tests that I’ve seen v TM4 indoors show some reasonable differences offline (eg 1-2yds more offline over 160yds)) but which one is correct? Would love to see a recent outdoor study in benign conditions.

I have to say my worse shots on course do not spin out as much as on the sim with the Quad. But that could be more to do with spin axis produced on turf vs mat, wind and environmental factors.

Great, and thanks for the reply. I guess Im overall fine if i hook it 60 yards left in real life, and quad only shows a 55yard slice. I can still learn from that. But wouldn't want GC quad to only show a 20 yard slice. Sounds like it will largely be able to pick on the general right/left path to within 5 yards no matter how bad the slice/hook ?

If you’re hooking 60 yds left, and quad is showing 55 yd slice, then you’ve got some issues. Think you just mis wrote it though - and meant within 5 yds in the same direction

Yup, my mistake. Should be 5 yards difference in same direction

If anything, GCQ will overstate how bad you’ve hooked/sliced it. But take that with a grain of salt
