  • Need Help Installing Imaging Source Cameras

I have finally received my Imaging Source DFK 33UX273 cameras with the A3Z2812CS-MPWIR lenses. USB 3.0 cables and I have the required mounts to attach the cameras to the wall. The lenses should work for my set up as they were selected based on the distance provided to the rep during my order. I understand how to plug the cabling into the cameras and into the computer. I downloaded and installed the drivers from Imaging Source (Device Driver for USB 33U, 37U, 38U Cameras and DFG/HDMI Converter). I downloaded and installed the IC Capture camera software (IC Capture - image acquisition). I do not know what to do next.

When I try and focus the cameras, I get a very blurry rather dark image. There appears to be a zoom lever on the camera lens and there appears to be a focus ring. But I am lost - what am I missing? FSX2020 recognizes the cameras but does not seem to be recording anything ....let's leave solving that until we get an image.

I should also mention that the cameras do not show up in the Windows 10 "Camera" app. Not sure if this is normal or not.

    Appreciate any and all inputs.

    Not True.

I've can get 240 in FSX with my IS cam, but the problem is that it takes a long time to process it and you don't need it. So, I have mine turned down and works great.

I finally got my IS cam, but after two swings, the camera stops recording and I.m need to restart the software. Any insight on what I might be doing wrong?

could be the cable. could be that you have the fps set too high and it's too much for your system or for FSX. while I can have mine set at 270 fps, I don't because (a) I don't need it and (b) it's overload and takes too long for the system to process. You also can't have any cam software trying to access the cam elsewhere. Only one program at a time can access any given camera.

I only have fsx2020 open. It sees the video in the preview. It simply doesn’t record when I swing and then the camera image freezes. It’s a brand new computer. Very frustrating.

I just got my IS cameras. I'm trying to install mine. FSX 2020 recognizes the camera, however, the "Properties" tab does not show up so I can't set them up? What amateur mistake am I making?

I downloaded the drivers from the IS website and it works now. I thought the drivers thru Foresight would work?

I had to use the IS Drivers as well FWIW.

It's strange that we would have to do both? Anyway, mine is working fine. Unfortunately, it doesn't make my swing "look" any better.
