instead of buying fsx is there a app which has driving range and ball data on the iPad app? What’s the tgc what I’ve read about?

TGC2019 is simulator software with 150k+ courses and a range. There are other ranges that people have designed. As far as I know it's not like a range for 'club fitting' as it's just one shot and the info for that shot. Not like the foresight range that also stores your sessions/club data etc.
