Does anyone have any experience with, or even know anything about, Golfisimo? Could be interesting...
Golfisimo?

I am anxious to know more. I got an email today and they seem to indicate in the email that it will only work with GCQuad and GCHawk. But the website just mentions FSX2020 (which I have). Hopefully this can work with GC2+HMT.
Been looking for games to play when I have people over. Playing golf is fun - but when you have 5+ people actual golf gets tedius. Something where you just go up and hit balls at target and have a "competition" would be fun.

You can download a run a demo of Golfismo and Creative Golf 3D from their website. It works for the GC2. Full license must be purchased through Foresight though.Originally posted by jesseasi View PostI am anxious to know more. I have it bundled with Creative Golf 3D. There are fun two-player games such as the War of the Roses and Castaway. My son & I enjoy them. They are a bit wacky in some ways but quite precise in others. Actually, really enjoy playing sim golf on the Creative Golf side.

I don't think I would play those target games on Golfisimo. So the only way I'd be interested in the Creative Golf 3D offer is if the course graphics and gameplay are a significant upgrade from FSX 2020. Does anyone have experience with that? They do have some good courses in the subscription pack (Irish links in particular).

So, does anyone have any information on this? I am really hoping that forking out an additional $2000 for Creative Golf + Courses is not the answer to updated graphics for FSX ......... Anyone?Originally posted by mbuck45 View PostIs this the upgrade/update we were waiting for? I was expecting FSX to take steps in terms of graphics/realism.

I downloaded the Creative Golf demo and played 9 holes on the free course last night.
The background graphics (trees and mountains) are clearly better than FSX 2020. Golf terrain, humps and hollows, may be better defined also.
But I did not see improved gameplay. I did not play around with the settings much, but in particular the ball physics seem worse than on FSX (which is the best I have tried). On pitch shots the ball just hits the green and dies, as though it has no mass. And even high spinny iron approaches take a huge jump forward, rather than grabbing and stopping. I was also not keen on the user interface, though again I did not experiment with the settings and perhaps I'm just used to FSX.
Most irritating was that the alignment was significantly off - at least a foot off on the screen. I could probably fix this with the FSX room configure tool, but then it would throw off FSX.
In sum, I don't see any reason to shell out $2000 for this.
