GC2 initialization failed error 2

Unit was working fine, then displayed this error code and keep restarting every 30 seconds.

I haven't tried to do much other than unplugging AC power and HMT unit, neither of which made any difference. I'll try pulling the battery for cold reboot when I get some free time.

I did see a similar post with error 4, but there were no responses to that post.

If you bought it from Foresight, they might be able to tell you what is causing it. I know Initialization Error 0 is usually the ribbon cable that goes to the flash power board, but I don't know about Error 2. When you open it up to pull the battery, check all the other ribbon cable connections and make sure something isn't loose. The wider ribbon cables all have locking tabs on them that hold the cable in place. Let us know if you figure it out.

Thx - I did read other posts where aeroburner helped people find & fix loose ribbon cables

The other initialization error 4 turned out to be bad camera requiring foresight repair per OP on that initialization error 4

Let the unit sit for a week, disconnected from HMT, out of the foresight protective case. Turned it on and it booted up fine, repeated with the HMT and worked fine. Took it out to the garage and hit balls for over an hour, it worked fine.

Nothing conclusive, seems likely to happen again. I didn't do anything other than let it sit for a week. I did run it off the battery, without AC adapter so there might be something there. I'll check the voltage on the AC adapter sometime this week.

Initialization Error 2 is a fault with the ribbon cable between the CPU board and the cameras. I had the same issue. I just disconnected/reconnected the ribbon cable on the camera end and made sure it was clipped in place.

Thx - haven't had a recurrence but haven't used it lately. I will keep that in mind
