  • FSX Issues

The Quad is working great, but I’m having some issues with FSX.

    - FSX doesn’t remember my Quad. I have to connect it every time

    - the room configuration file must not save because every time I turn on FSX, the dimensions are wrong and it has me aimed right down the center of the screen (I need it off center to the right). Then when I go back in the room config file, everything is set back to their default GC2 dimensions.

    - Fairgrounds won’t let me login to my FSX live account. When I click “sign in”, nothing happens.

Has anyone had these issues and knows how to fix them?

    All are familiar issues.

-I always have to connect to the Quad every time. Autoconnect does not work.
-On room config utility, note there are separate settings for GC2 and GC Quad in a drop-down menu. Make sure you are on the right one. Do your Quad settings always return to default? That should not happen.
-I have never been able to make Fairgrounds work. I think it has something to do with the room config. Foresight tech support has been unable to help despite repeated attempts.

    Good luck!

For autoconnect, you need to turn on the quad and let it load and THEN start FSX. FSX can't connect to it automatically if it's not yet connected to the computer. It only tries when you start up FSX>

The other issues I've never heard of but sounds like something in your config file is corrupt. I have no problem with Fairgrounds.

How are you connecting to the Quad?

If it were me, I'd uninstall, remove all the config files after installation and then try installing again. Something isn't right.

I agree with what Baller is saying here. I had a bad version of Fairgrounds once and the room configuration file is KEY for fairgrounds to work properly and also so your ball hits and takes off from the same spot in FSX. Sounds like you might just have a bad install. I use USB for connection just because it is so easy to leave plugged in, but I do generally have to connect the quad each time in FSX even though it is remembered, only take a second so no big deal. You could also try running the config file as ADMIN just to make sure windows permissions are not messing it?

Thanks. I should uninstall what? The whole FSX or just Fairgrounds?

I connect with the ethernet cable, which works best in my experience.

I had issues at first getting Fairgrounds to work. I then ran as Admin snd it works fine
