Foresight original disk in the box

Finally I bought the used GC2 as my first launch monitor. In addition to the GC2 machine and other stuffs, the seller also gave me a Foresight original disk without a dongle. I asked him if he could find the dongle. the seller replied that there was no such dongle when he bought the GC2, only the disk inside the box. I am just wondering, if such disk is the so called "FR1" software, why would Foresight give only the disk to the user which cannot be used without a dongle?

If that's the fr1 software you need the security dongle to use it as far as I know. Was he able to use the software?

the seller did not use the disk, instead, he used the TGC 2019. so there is a possibility that the disk is "not" the FR1 software?

There was an fr1 software with 1 course and range and no dongle but I haven't seen it. Did you run disc and see what you have yet. I would run it and see what it is.

For what it’s worth, I have that same disc and could not run the software without the security dongle.

So Foresight just provided a software disk to its customer without providing the security key? Sigh….

I didn't buy mine directly from Foresight, so I'm not sure...You would think that they would only have sent it out with the dongles when someone purchased FR1...Like Wizard Of Coz mentioned, there appears to be some sort of demo version floating around that doesn't require a dongle, but I haven't seen it in person, just the listings so I'm not sure how it works.
