I want to buy a golf enclosure and a projector. My space measures 2.7 metres high and 3.6 metres wide, I think that means I will need either a 16:10 or 16:9 impact screen. I want to be sure that the projector I buy fills the entire screen, I don't want to see any black bars and the bottom and the top! Can anyone offer advice on which enclosure and projector I should buy for my area?

That is a good size space. You will need some buffer for the screen I would assume, but you could go 16:9 with a Optoma 1090HDR mid price point decent projector. Would sit 2.31m from the screen and project 4.62m wide and 2.6m tall. Hope that helps.

for a golf simulator, you want the largest screen possible you can fit in your space. 99% of the time, the screen is not going to be a perfect 16:9 4:3 or 16:10 ratio. you are going to have white space on top and bottom or sides. Based on your dimensions, your screen would be 140 x 87 or 140 x 78 inches. but since you have 106 inches high. I would do a 140 x 106 screen. that would also allow you to do a almost perfect 4:3 ratio. How deep do you want the sides?

The white space can be mitigated depending on your intentions for ambient light. I have black out curtains around my cage and generally, eliminate ambient light that tends to hide any unused screen. I know many videophiles go nuts over perfect alignment of projector to screen, but given all the elements of a simulator concluded for me that was a bit of wasted effort.

from your pic , it looks like this is a patio room ? Im looking at your sloped ceiling, Can you mount and drill into the ceiling material? what is the height at the peak? you could always do a frame mount projector or a floor mount as an option. let me know thx chipComment
