4 courses for $150. Anyone have these courses?

If the "Mystery Course" was Pebble Beach I'd be all over it.........

Why? Aren't they coming out with new software soon?

The mystery course isn't Pebble Beach...
    • Saint Andrews Golf Club NY - Hastings-On-Hudson, NY
    • Greystone Golf Club - ON, Canada
    • Blue Springs Golf Club - ON, Canada

    + MYSTERY BONUS COURSE:
    • Jimmie Austin Golf Club - Norman, OK

And when the hell is the new software coming out? Surely this won't be a priced upgrade!?

I would be pleasantly surprised if it wasn't a priced upgrade.

So is the thought that the new software will not be backward compatible with the existing courses ???????

I would still be willing to pay (a little) for an upgrade with better graphics. FSX is almost "connect- a-dot" compared to TGC.........IMHO!

No just thinking that if they update their software then there would be very little reason to play the old. I haven't played one round of golf on fsx2020 but I do use the range. Also once TGC2019 came out I rarely visited TGC and haven't played TGC in over a couple years.

I should add, since I've been having connectivity issues with TGC I've been gaming FSX almost exclusively. Really miss the graphics.

Not sure if this helps anyone, but the way it was described to me was that the new software is a brand new simulator IP from Foresight.

As when you purchase the new GC3 coming out internationally you get a full FSX2020 license plus a test taste of the new software with the upgraded graphics. They wouldn't have described it that way if it was a free upgrade from FSX2020.

That’ll be disappointing when I just bought my GC2 a few months ago I asked them about the new software and was told I wouldn’t need to spend any money on any future software upgrades. Now if they classify it as “new software” and not an upgrade I will be more than a little annoyed but what can you do. I enjoy the shit out of TGC anyways.

I have no insight, but if they follow a similar model to the FX2020 upgrade release my expectations (OK - my hopes!) are that the upgrade will be free to those who purchased FSX2020, but a paid upgrade for those who paid for FSX2018 (and received the free upgrade to FSX2020). Earlier versions will also be a paid upgrade.

WRT courses, there were new versions of the courses eventually released - some right away, the bulk within 6+ months (and some not at all I think). One needed to re-download the new courses but there was no fee to do this - if you owned the course you were gtg. I believe that the old course versions still worked, but the new courses had better graphics (downloads were certainly larger) so you could still play the "old" course versions with FSX2020 or upgrade at your leisure.

I do hope they put some thought into improving the download experience for updated courses. The one-by-one download and install gets old pretty quick!
