I finally decided to take the plunge and build my own simulator after being a long time shadow reader.

GCQuad with club data and FSX 2020
SiG 10 enclosure
Fiberbuilt mat
Optoma EH460st

Going to take a month or so to get everything. I think I’m going to start with the projector on the floor Bc my ceiling height is 13’ in my garage and I can’t figure out how low I would need to hang the projector down.

Looking forward to getting it up and running and am glad to have such a group of experts to bounce troubleshooting off of.

Solid choice with the quad. Can’t go wrong. Very similar setup to what I have other than the projector being on the floor

You need what's called a "Drop Ceiling Projector Mount" or something like that. There are some adjustable ones available on Amazon. I got this mount which just uses 1.5" NPT and you can get the pipe whatever length you want it to be...but maybe an adjustable one would be easier.
