  • FSX2020 Now comes with 10 Free Standard Cpurses

    Looks like they added:
    • Tall Pines;
    • Butterfield;
    • Kinsale; and
    • Beaver Hills
    Have not heard of any of them but will give them a try. This is added to the normal 5 + the Farms which was free over Christmas for a total of 10 now courses included with FSX.

    Kinsale is in Powell, Ohio. I'm a member there and as well as Scioto Reserve Country Club (also available in the Foresight Library). Kinsale in real life can be a difficult course. To score well you need to be able to hit the ball long and high. There isn't as much trouble off the tee but the length (other than 5, 7, & 8) can definitely stretch you out. The undulation around the green is where things get tricky. Also, don't hit the false front on the right side of 6 green!

    A few of the things that have missed on the sim is on #5 there is tall treen down the left side of the hole that will almost block out any tee shot that is left of center (the fairway will also kick shots on that side into the left rough). The hole is pretty short at around 335 yards from the member tee but you have to be right center off the tee. However in the Foresight library that tree is missing so the biggest defense of the hole is gone.

    Number 11 is a sharp dogleg left par 5 directly off the tee. There is a collection of trees between the tee box and fairway that in the sim are too short. Most (right handed) players would need to hit a draw around them instead of just flying over the top of them.

    Typically we host the US Open Local at Kinsale, but in 2016 and very likely again next year we will have the big US Open sectional the day after the Memorial Tournament.

    Does anyone else know the other courses that are now included at no additional cost?

      Gotta admit -- not something I expected from Foresight, but greatly appreciated.
