Upgrading to GC2 from Skytrak

have had skytrak and tgc19 for a few years and am finally upgrading to gc2. It doesn't come with any software. What is a good range software,, FSX mobile??

Also, do I need to pay a transfer fee to pro tee so I can play tgc19, or is there a workaround?

With a GC2 don't go with FSX. There are others available for significantly cheaper. TGC has thousands or courses and tournaments and a range. Another one is available too for a good price search some YouTube videos by Golf Simulator Videos to see the software. If you're transferring TGC from another unit I think there's a fee, but buying new is not bad either

What does everyone use for practice? Outside of tgc? Preferably on a mobile app.

IMO, there are no acceptable mobile apps for the GC2. FSX Mobile is wonky and unpredictable, and has basically been abandoned by Foresight. FSX Pro does not work with GC2 because there FSX Pro cannot connect via bluetooth. If anyone has any other suggestions, please post here because I would love to have an iPad app that works with the GC2.

I haven't used it, but Foresight also has an iPad app called Performance Fitting that is free and shows you the shape of the shot. Reviews are few and mixed, but it might be worth a try. You will almost certainly need to have the iPad very close to the GC2 because the bluetooth connection is weak.
