FSX 2020 sound

Sometimes it works fine.
Sometimes there's no sound for a while (no birds singing, no ball bouncing), then it randomly comes on.
Sometimes there's no sound, but exiting and re-running the program fixes it.
Sometimes I can get no sound after several reboots and give up trying until the next session.

Rinse and repeat.

Am I the only one who experiences this? Any fixes?

Same issue for me. At first I thought it was my projector. Have had the issue for quite a while now so not a new issue for me at least.

Not a new issue for me either. I just snap once in a while.

The gods have stricken me for complaining. This weekend I can get no sound at all.

Has anybody discovered a fix for this? I have the issue with FSX2020, but exiting the program and starting it again usually fixes it. With FSX Play, the sound has never worked for me.

I randomly have the sound issue with FSX 2020. Not too often, however, it did happen yesterday "mid-round."

I have never had this problem, well kinda never. Yes, I would assume it's your system changing your sound output to your projector or something and I have my projector sound disabled. As long as it's disabled, this never happens to me.

It is an FSX problem. I do have the sound running through the projector, but every other application (YouTube, whatever) always works normally. And my system is not changing the sound output in the middle of a session. If I just start hitting balls on the FSX2020 range, often I don't bother restarting the program and just play in silence. Usually the sound will eventually just come on by itself. Like, I hit 30 balls without sound, then the 31st ball gives a bounce sound (and startles me) and it works correctly afterward. There are just gremlins in FSX.

That sounds like a computer issue...somehow. I know it seems strange, but I've been running FSX for a long long time, 3 versions now and never had that happen even once.
