Does anyone have any experience with using other swing cams other than Imaging Source or iDS? Looking to get swing cams but most are unavailable until mid 2022 and very costly. Looking for a good alternative option and curious if others have tried different cameras. Thanks

Keep an eye on ebay. You can sometimes find them on there.
I might have a couple extra IDS cams that are just sitting I could part with as well. (3130LE-C-HQ and a UI-3160CP-C-HQ).
I have 4 total IDS cams that I've used for different things. I think the imaging source works better in FSX, but I only have one (for me).

FSX just announced an affiliation with swing catalyst, so I would make sure to buy a camera that works with that too. I am looking at the FLIR Blackfly S GigE, but can't fiugure out what lens to use.

Swing Catalyst has a chart for choosing the correct lens based on distance to the golfer. In my experience you need a minimum of nine feet on the DTL view to make it look decent. I have six and a half feet and even with a 2.5 lens it looks really stretched and just not what you would expect. Moving to a 3.5 lens makes the driver take up the entire view when it passes by the camera on the backswing. Its unfortunate but really the only way to fix it is move the golfer forward or move the camera back which neither is possible for me.
Secondly why a GigE? I think the only recommend it because it’s monochrome for indoor settings. Are your cameras going to be over ten feet from the computer?
