Would a GC2 with serial number A14290 be a newer unit? Will Foresight provide any info? I tried calling them and could not reach a human being. So I sent in an email request.

Well past that. I haven't seen any 15xxx units. If you email Foresight, they can check to see if the unit has been reported stolen.
