  • FSX2020 and Windows 11

I am wondering if this has come up as yet. My gaming PC runs Windows 10 without issue but I received a pop-up the other day stating I met the Windows 11 criteria and would I like to upgrade. I declined (I believe I saw somewhere some sort of caution about Windows 11 and FSX2020) but other than the system requirements section not including Windows 11, I cannot find the reference. I search here did not find anything obvious either.

Is anyone running 11 and or know why one should not?

I saw the same thing the other day on my new Lenovo PC while using my Skytrak.

"No issues with Skytrak or TGC19 with Windows 11 for me. My sim computer has been on Windows 11 since it was released."
Before I make the jump, does anyone know if Skytrak will work with Windows 11? E6 Connect has confirmed their software will work but they were not sure about the Skytrak software.

I asked this question to Foresight sales when working out the details of my GCQuad order a of couple months ago. On 11/19/21, I was told that they haven’t finished all the details to use windows 11 yet. Said it should be soon but couldn't give a completion date. I went with a Win10 laptop and have been declining the Win11 update offers.

dmboiler - great thanks. I assumed they were working it.

I guess I was hoping that someone had taken the plunge and could comment. Guess I will wait a bit.

Well, for what it's worth. I purchased the Launch Pro and got an Acer Nitro 5 to run it. The Acer came with Windows 11 and I'm running into am issue of thw FSX 2020 initial load screen popping up, then disappearing. I don't know if that is Windows 11 related, or if I'm having another problem.

So - are we saying that other than the video card issues FSX2020 works on Windows 11?

Yes... to be clear, the video card aspect is not a Windows 11 thing. That's just someting you need to do whatever.

I actually experience the same issue with win 11 with my GC3. FSX 2020 load but it never came up. I contacted Foresight support and we re-install couple time and still no luck. It would work on first install, then after closing it would not work again. We try adjust video as well, still no luck. I did not give up, and finally figure it out. In Win 11 there is a setting within each install software that you can set the video for. Once I set that to my Nvida card, bingo, no more issue with FSX2020 loading again. I am in mids of moving and have my laptop shut down. Once I get it backup I will send a screenshot and what I did so you can try the same.

So just to go full circle, I updated my Golf Sim PC to Windows 11 over the weekend anticipating potential issues. Nada - all programs (FSX2020, FSX Play, FSX Pro, Swing Catalyst) work as advertised. Have not tried Zombie golf or fairgrounds but don't really use those at all really.

Just thought I would pass it on.

Good to know, thanks. Zombie could be better anyway...I don't think I've played it since right after I bought it a long time ago.

FSX20 works absolutely fine with Windows 11 on my Dell G7 16gb Rtx 2060

I got my GC Quad and Alienware Laptop with Windows 11 in early April 22 and FSX 2020 has been working so far. But I haven't updated all the drivers, software and firmware which I'm hesitant to do since everything is working.
