  • Fsx Play?

I have seen a couple of videos about new FSX Play software being in the works. Has anyone heard anything about when they are expecting to release this? Looks like it would be a nice upgrade to fsx2020.

Still a bit gutted that folks that bought FSX2020 at full price are not getting more of a break.

As a side note, was your email in response to a question or was it a mass send? I still have not seen anything from FS.
It was a mass send from my foresight rep. I’ll post his email here

I'm buying a GC3 right now and the rep said at the end of the week the GC3 price will go up by $500 (to $7500) and will include FSX Play. If I buy now (which I am doing) I can pay $7000 now and pay the $500 upgrade sometime in the future.

My theory is they might have a sale in the future where I can pick up FSX Play for less than the $500 difference, and also the computer I have now probably can't run FSX Play so I might as well wait until I upgrade the computer to also get FSX Play.

Anyone know if the course upgrades will be free or will we have to rebuy them?

Almost zero chance that they will make you pay to upgrade the courses you already own.

          From the website -

We are working to convert all FSX 2020 courses to FSX Play compatible so you can enjoy FSX Play with courses you already own. New courses are being developed on a weekly basis.

Hmm. I have Hawk, club and soccer, but when I put my activation in it still wants $500. Can you post the email so I can forward to my rep? Thanks!

Yeah, I saw that but it doesn't explicitly say you don't have to rebuy them. It implies you don't but doesn't explicitly say it.

Quite disappointed that it's not free as they have alluded to. And the website is saying it's sold out now. So I guess enough people (100) is willing to pay for the upgrade.

I'm not surprised there is a charge. Without an annual maintenance fee or a subscription model I'm not certain where the revenue is to support the costs to develop. I doubt new purchases would be enough.

I would have pulled the trigger if there was an FAQ to answer questions. At some point I'll be upgrading as this is the future for them.

I would pay the $500 but if I’m entitled to a free upgrade I’ll take it.😁

Atm it is "sold out" - guess they try to throttle the release. It also seems they have to manually check eligibility for the Upgrade...

This is a joke. FSX is far behind in terms of quality, this should be free. And now it’s saying it’s sold out? How do you sell out of a software upgrade?
