  • FSX Play - Reviews on La Jolla Pines???

Ok, so if I understand correctly a limited number of FSX Play upgrades were sold yesterday and/or today. I am hoping that someone here at GSF was one of those people and would be willing to give some thoughts about what you think of FSX Play so far including your thoughts about the included La Jolla Pines? I just remember how excited we all were when FSX 2020 came out as an "upgrade" to FSX 2018. As history shows we all quickly found out that unless you were a BIG fan of the new fancy font they used for the name of the golf course you were playing... it was a MASSIVE disappointment!
That said, I only trust those on this forum who chime in on the topic (certainly not the marketing page on the Foresight website) and hoping this can be the thread to get a handle on just how much of an "upgrade" FSX Play actually is.
Thanks in advance to those who give us some insights!

So it appears FSX Play has a new version available of 1.0.1.1 ( https://www.foresightsports.com/fsx-...d-installation )
It also appears that Foresight is not publishing the upgrades/patches/etc in the new releases.
Has anyone installed the new version and noticed any changes?

I updated to 1.0.1.1 and didn’t notice any changes? Auto putting still doesn’t work. Doesn’t save elevation. Room configuration doesn’t stay as you last saved it. Those were few of the things I was looking for.

I’ve had a lot of room config problems too. First, make sure you’re doing it under Admin, it might help, and also search your computer to see if you have multiple room config tools and update then all. Doesn’t mean it’ll be any better, but mine has at least been staying for a day or two now.

Once you have fsx play do you still have fsx 2020 or does play replace it?

You will still retain FSX2020 and have both programs.

I think 2020 is supposed to theoretically go away someday or at least stop being updated and I'd expect hat those who upgraded would lose their licenses to it, but if you didn't you'd still have the license (hope that makes sense).

I dont know anything re graphics cards, so any help appreciated. In FSX 2020 my system states under Adapter that I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Suoer card, and a MicroSoft Basic Render Driver. Will that be enough for FSX Play?

Specs say 1660 Ti or greater and you are under that but I'd try it and see before just upgrading.
