  • Adjusting offset in FSX Play

Room config tool isn’t adjusting the offset like it did in 2020.
Any tricks within the program itself to accomplish this?

Anyone figure out how to move the offset in FSX Pro? I look for multiple room config programs in various folders but my computer only has one and that works for both FSX Play and FSX2020 but has not effect on FSX Pro. Not sure if you could even move the offset in Pro but seems like there’s are instructors and club fitters that would want that ability. The stats come up so much faster in Pro is better for practice.

It’s built into the fsx Pro
You just click the icon and drag the screen and save it.
Check your in the latest version 1.5.7 I think

Using FSX PRO v1.5.4.7 for your PC, you should see this option under settings: "Room Tool"

Is there a real fix for this ????? I just installed 1.6 for Play and now my aim point line shifts left when it sees the ball for the first time

You can just trial and error changing the room config tool little by little until it matches up. Or you can do what I do and stick the ball on mat tee then move inch the GCquad in or out until the line matches where you want it. FYI if you use this technique you have to take the ball out of the ball find zone each time then put it back in so the software will refresh the find then and auto adjust the line. I have outlined the base of the GCquad with a marker in two different spots so I can find them easily. One for FSXPlay and the other for FSX2020. It's faster and less tedious then going into the room config tool and moving the line .25 inch at a time.

I set my DX value at 2.5 feet for FSXPlay and 1.5 feet for FSX2020. All good now. Kind of a silly work around but it does work.

This works on a 177 inch screen. I would imagine different width screen would have slightly different numbers.

Very annoying thing to have to change offset between Play and 2020. I did it for awhile then just quit using 2020. If I want to just practice I'll use FSX pro or Swing Catalyst. Though I do miss doing on course practice in 2020 where you can change holes. I wish Play had that capability.

Will the same cameras that work with 2020 work with SC ???? I have 2 of the cheap color 120 FPS cameras. Really all I need.

Bumping this as I am experiencing this issue - perhaps it is now only relevant to my device (Falcon). I have tried everything in the thread adjusting dx in roomconfig tool for each device, doing the same in the config file).

I have the falcon mounted approx 300mm left of centre. My aimline remains as if the falcon was mounted centre of screen - i.e. when i drop the ball, the aimline will always be approx 300mm right of my ball. I have tried many dx values between +1m, thru to -1m, and nothing seem to be able to impact the location of the aimline. Any idea suggestions?
