I have a GC Quad on order. What cameras is everyone using for the swing replay feature in the 2020 FSX software? I have an HDR projector, so I am trying to avoid the "flicker" that can occur with real high speed (FPS) cameras. I believe that 120 FPS does not cause this issue, so something in this range would be ideal for me.

In both areas there are many recommendations for cameras and what to look for (and what perhaps to avoid). Spoiler alert - it is not 'all about frame rate'.

Swing Catalyst tech is familiar with the Blackfly, not so much with the imaging source. But we were able to figure some stuff out.
$'er wise Camera = 434, Lens = 78, Cable = 30.
If you call Imaging Source, and tell them: How many cameras, how far each camera is from the computer for cable routing & how far each camera is from the golfer, they can tell you exactly what you'll need for cameras. lenses & cables. BUY GOOD CABLES, not the $6 - 25' Amazon brand, it makes a huge difference. You can also email Bob Taflinger bob.taflinger@theimagingsource.com and he can help you figure out what you'll need.

If you only use FSX for the swing cams, all the above information will still help, but I'm using Swing Catalyst, so not real sure of the tech info on FSX.
It's an incredible amount of dick-around time to get lighting and camera setup correct.
While you want a goof FPS, pay attention to shutter speed, the lower you can get the better, that has more impact on the blur you see at impact as opposed to thinking high FPS will cure it as it won't

I reached out to the Imaging Source. They are now processing their camera orders through a company in MN called "Surf Thing Computers." I'm waiting for a quote from them. I will reach out to them in a day or so if I don't hear anything. Looks like the cameras (like everything else in the USA) are on back order until April. -
Actually, those guys posted on here a couple of days ago offering PC building and other hardware services. Interesting Imaging Source is using a retailer...I wonder if Surf Thing Computers is also based in Charlotte.
