So I've had the Foresight Sim-in-a-box for about 2 years and the outside screen is basically like a bedsheet. Over time, it has ripped and now needs to be replaced. Aside from calling Foresight and paying for another poorly designed top layer, is there an alternative that anyone has used? Has anyone purchased from Carl's place and used that as a replacement? Just wondering what the best way to go about this is. Thanks.

Premium screens from Carl's place are great.
I have had one for 5 years and there are no sign of wear at all. -

It is 2 layers - the first (bottom) layer is velcro'ed to the frame and the top layer that is thin and flimsy is velcro'ed to that one - here's a couple of pictures. You need to be careful which balls you use, that is what destroys your screen. I've mentioned it lots, but you want an extremely hard cover ball. like a surlyn cover and you do not want to use the same balls for your wedges as you use for your driver. Your wedges will putt nicks in the ball and then you hit the ball hard with your driver and tear your screen. You can use your old regular use balls for wedges though.Comment

I have the same sim in a box screen. I think I will get atleast 4-5 years out of it. Too late now for you since it ripped but here is what I did. After the top where all the irons and wedges hit starts to look warn out. I take it down and remove the velcro using a seem ripper tool since its sewn on. Then I cut off some on the sides since its so stretchy and re sew the velco back on but with the screen flipped and now the bottom is warn out some with the top fresh. Then it also allows you to tighten the screen so there is no wrinkles or sag for awhile. I tought myself how to use a sewing machine just for this reason. hahaOriginally posted by markrookiesim View PostComment
