  • GCQuad Network Check-In Over USB

Is there any way for the GCQuad to perform the 45-day check in with the Foresight servers over USB? I have switched to the USB connection to reduce missed shots and I assumed it could use the FSX computer to validate the GCQ licenses. But, the launch monitored just told me that it needs to check in again. Is the only option to plug-in to Ethernet every 45 days?

Do you have to sign in to fsx2020. I usually just go to the range but don't sign in. Plus I'm using wifi.

Pretty sure it does over usb....not any different. Does not need to be over ethernet.

You might have offline mode enabled, even if by accident. I would first try signing completely out of 2020 and then signing back in. Try logging into Inside 6 Feet and see if it lets you in.

If you really can't fiogure it out, then go and delete the options.bin file in the sys folder and that will prob fix it (or just rename or move the file so you can reverse if needed).

Absolutely does work over USB. I have never had the Quad connected any other way for over 2 years now. But if you are connecting your PC to the Quad using WIFI - you need to understand you are not actually connected to the internet unless you have multiple WIFI cards in your PC and are connected by a second WIFI signal to your home LAN or via the LAN cable. The Quad's WIFI speaks only to the PC.

Edit: re-reading your post - I am not sure this is your issue assuming your PC is connected to the Internet in some fashion while you are connected to the Quad using USB. If not, you have your answer.
