GC3 worth the money?

Same for me. Upgraded from GC2 to Gc3 to get swingspeed data. Very happy thus far.

Yes. Well worth it imo.

The ability to watch back a face-on and down the line view of the same swing after every shot with data to go along with it is a game changer.

You can also set your unit up so the camera shows you a live feed of your swing so you can rehearse certain motions before actually hitting a ball.

Just a warning tho, if you do not already putting together a decent one is going to cost you around $10K.

The unit might only cost $7,500, but you then are going to need to build an enclosure, buy an impact screen, a projector, a mat to hit off of, a gaming computer to run the software, and other miscellaneous items.

I just put one together in my garage this past fall and the expenses added up quickly. Still worth it imo opinion though.

The features and build quality feel like a $7k piece of equipment - definitely not a toy.

I upgraded from SkyTrak and the data is immensely more accurate and I have been working hard on my wedge game now that I can trust the distances and spin rates. For me, been great.

That being said, the one part where I am disappointed, is the lack of integration when compared to GCQ.

Sure, realized going in that TGC wasn't supported, but didn't realize (and could have read, this is a me problem not a them problem) that Fairgrounds was not supported on the GC3. Nor E6 Connect. Nor Swing Catalyst. Nor anything other than FSX. I have two small children (6 and 4) and they would say that its not as fun as SkyTrak as there aren't as many games to play, the pitch and putt is too hard for them, etc. Could have been solved with Fairgrounds of E6 connect range, but they are not supported.

If I were to do it over for this very specific point in time, I would have gotten a Quad (wasn't available). If the integrations get handled, I will be smitten with the GQ3.

I never trusted SkyTrak enough to commit to trying to grove changes. I spent the winter with the GC3 and club data trying to hit target spin and path numbers. I feel like the work and expense will payoff.
My first real round this year is Saturday...

Glad to hear that some are having a good experience with GC3. I'm having lots of trouble with my brand new one missing shots. The it hasn't been figured out yet.

I dont see it listed here but my GCquad has a problem reading shots when I had LED lights instead of incandescent bulbs. Its hard to notice but the LED light are flickering on and off super fast.

I just set mine up today hasn’t missed a shot seems solid! I’m happy with the purchase makes a skytrak seem worthless

I played on one (ST) a few times and the delay from shot to show drove me nuts. Haven't had the opportunity to try the GC3 yet.

The SkyTrak is great for the price but GC3 a totally different ball game.

i got used to the SkyTrak delay it didn’t really bother me but mind you I was playing just the range mode no sim golf so was just after my numbers.
