    Unboxing Question

    Hey Folks,

I just received a new GC Quad - and was kinda surprised at the packaging. The quad was just kinda sitting in the foam box with no plastic wrap, no "semi adhesive film" protection (like on the top screen / control panel). Nothing to really hold the Quad in place other than the form fitting foam.

Even the box was just held closed by the magnets and a thin plastic bag around it.

The company I ordered from also neglected to add any additional packing other than the box.

I'm just curious if this is standard or if perhaps mine was unboxed previously?

    Thank you!

I just received one recently. It was packed well. The box is foam lined and clearly designed to carry the GC Quad, cords, etc. I watched an unboxing video on Golf Simulator Videos. His came in a backpack. I thought mine would too. Not a big deal. The unit works great. It's awesome.

What do you mean by, "the company you ordered from.."? Did you buy from a third party? Was it sent by them, or by FS?

I ordered from an online reseller rather than direct as it was $1500 cheaper (they didn't charge tax). The box was the full Foresight box - chains, magnets, form fitting foam. I guess I was just surprised that the club data sticker dispenser came with protective plastic film, while the unit itself did not.

The 3rd party also didn't bother to add any additional packing material inside the box. No air bags, foam peanuts, paper - etc. Just an $18k piece of optical equipment secured by some pressure fitting foam.

In any case - everything is up and running just fine. I just had a little bit of paranoia given the packaging and sporadic use of protective film.

Tom Howarth - mine came in a Foresight box - however they also sent me a backpack in a separate shipment.

Yes. I also purchased from a third party for the same reason. No sales tax. Huge savings. And the online retailer had units due in, so delivery was only about a month. Also, free shipping. Foresight's delivery was 4-6 weeks. I will take the adequate "foam packaging" and the savings any day. My unit is fine. However, I may reach out about the fact that I did not receive the backpack.
