    Cheaper software option for Bushnell?

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I'm considering buying a Bushnell Launch Pro, but wonder whether there's any cheaper software option than the $399 per year subscription.

I'm a casual golfer and my kids just started playing. I would like them to practice swings in the garage from time to time, so a virtual driving range is really all I need. I don't foresee them or myself playing virtual courses.

As I understand the $99 basic subscription would only show 2D ball path? I'm not even sure what it means but I guess I'm not going to have a virtual driving range with that option.

Is there any other software that can be used? Or do I have to unlock the machine fully for it to work with other software like e6?

It seems that I should choose Skytrak for my purpose but obviously the GC3 has better tracking...

    Thank you all!

With the basic plan you get carry, ball speed, total spin, launch angle, club head and smash factor (efficiency on BLP) - for 99.00 and that includes the foresight golf range. I have had mine for about 5 weeks and really like it. Unfortunately, right now, there are no 3rd party software's that are compatible, like e6 or others. They say "sometime" this summer it should be available but who knows.

Hello, I’m in a similar position as the OP. I currently have a Mevo+, but interested in a camera based LM. Right now I mainly use the range function to a iPad mini in my garage. Can someone confirm that with the Bushnell LP and the basic service, I can use my iPad for a range session? Thanks!

I was in the same boat - had a Mevo + but the space constraints in the garage had me wanting to upgrade. I pulled the trigger on the bushnell earlier this year and I couldn’t be happier with the accuracy.

If you want just a basic range session capability, yes the iPad will work with the FSX pro app and the included basic subscription free for the first year. The catch is you only get the 2D top and side view on the range. Right when you hit a shot it will immediately show top and side view ball flight and there is no live flight in 3D.

Works just fine for practice, but I decided to upgrade to gold for simulation. Had to shell out the extra $ for a gaming laptop but it’s been a good experience so far.

Appreciate the response. I don’t really want to have to buy a gaming CPU, especially since my sim is in my garage. I just wish I could use my iPad and still get 3D flight path. Seems kinda silly. Oh well.
