FULLY UNLOCKED BLP and FSX Play

Just in case anyone was wondering a fully unlocked BLP is NOT considered a GC3 and will not work with FSX Play. I have seen mixed write ups and just wanted to save some folks some money. FSX Play will be available June - July for BLP owners.

It was put across that a fully unlocked BLP is treated as a GC3 and this is not true. From the mouths of foresight today.

A bizarre strategy for sure. BLP unlocked should be no different that a GC3 - they are literally identical in build and hardware and I don't see the marketing strategy in treating them differently. When I got the BLP - I had not done enough research into the fact that it is not supported with E6 or FSX Play. I actually really like my BLP - works great, take it to the range, great practice tool - but no E6 and no FSXPlay has been a real dissapointment.

Isn't E6 unsupported by GC3 as well?

I spoke to E6 last week and they said they were really close to getting the GC3 support finished.

scottgeter: Did E6 mention if it was finishing support for both the GC3 and BLP?
