Does anyone know if there's a way to set altitude in GC2 so TGC will use it? I want to play a Colorado at elevation and I know there's no adjustment in the game itself.
Based on that link being 7 years old I am going to agree to disagree. The ball has changed in that time and faces are hotter. In your opinion as you believing all fittings that us golfers have gone thru with TM and Foresight they have been leading us misinformation? Utilizing their launch monitors where anything has low spin and high launch really does not go as far as we are being told?
Looking at TXG recent Titleist fitting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_zhEFo6Wt4, his Quad numbers at 8:08 of the clip show 165, 11.5,, 1918 spin and carry is 290. According to Flightscope it is only 269.4 carry.
Something is totally amiss here.
This conversation does explain why irons seem accurate (because of the spin) in a play mode but fairways and drivers seem short.
Anyway we can get a boost in the interface to Quad like GC2 has? By taking the sliding dots from zero to just 2 it gets you more accurate, anything more it was greatly inflated.
Again - appreciate the feedback
Your comments about balls and hot faces are irreverent. LM's and their computation programs only know ball speed, direction and spin. All these are measured after launch so hot face, different ball composition etc. are already included in the measured ball flight parameters. Ball weight and circumference are regulated by the rules making bodies.
ok, I am good with that, all I am asking are possible differences it what all these numbers are showing. I honestly don't believe Flightscope numbers are accurate based on all other data presented from TM & Foresight.

I have no idea which is correct but inputting the same parameters,(165 11.5.1918) into a ball ballistics program, Trajectoware, gives carry at 269.7 which is the same as the Flightscope number..
Very interesting info. I better move up a tee this summer based on the finding and stop play from 7150! The one thing I noticed is if you play with the zip code's and location, you can adjust the ball carry by 10 yards but yet nothing is warm other than sea level. It would interesting if you could adjust the temp, humidity and pressure parameters to see the difference.
Still any chance we can get this GSX Mode to the Quad interface? Please note, that is not where we ever played it but showing it can be moved on the driver settings.
The interface for TGC for the quad is mine. You cannot add boost and a GSX like version will never exist unless someone else makes one. Someone made a new one to replace mine for the other software.
My apologies as I was under the impression the the screen shot above was your work. For some reason I recall reading something that when guys were in the online tourneys they were only allowed a certain boost? Maybe I am off.
Now, I am not a online tourney player. Any idea who created the interface that gave the option to adjust like what the GC2 interface offers?

Thank you mthunt - that TM analysis of Rory's drivers is phenomenal. Notice that the AOA is 4.0+ on the Scottygolf post, and that Rory's AOA is in the 2.0+ range.
Could that higher launch be enough to increase carry 20 yards?

Carry is based on ball data if calculated. AOA is club data so no. AOA can effect ball data but AOA isn’t used to calculate carry directly. Only ball data is.

That's great but those that have played on mine see different results. One is a state Sr. champ and his numbers are dead on. His ball speed and spin (he is in the 2300-2500 range) get him his accurate carry. His kid and mine are less spin but our carry's are more like his in the sim and I know both of ours carry much more than his on the course.
All I am saying is when we are playing on a track in TGC2019, and we see a bunker with a carry of 260, we both know we carry further and it plugs in the game, there is something that is a miss. We are both plus handicap golfers and know our carries.
