  • GC3 vs GCQuad accuracy difference?

Anyone experienced material differences in on screen ball flight simulation and/or accuracy with a GC3 vs Quad? If there is a difference, baselining the Quad as a 10 on accuracy with a scale of 1-10… where would you put the GC3 in comparison?

Obvious difference in not having the club data and analytics that come with it, but as it relates specifically to distance, shot shape, and general display of the shot is the GC3 going to have any noticeable difference in accuracy assuming all other things are held constant i.e. computer, projector, software? Thanks! Trying to help buddies determine if the ~$10K diff is worth it having enjoyed the Quad we've got in the garage.

I saw a few tests when I was looking a the GC3. I don't have the links anywhere but my recollection was that they're basically identical. The GC3 is just missing the extra camera to give club head orientation and rate data.

My recollection is the same, though I think Quad also has tighter standards of error and a larger detection area than GC3.

If you don't need or want some of the extra club data then it's a great option.

Thanks both. Appreciate it. I do recall the difference in hitting area too now that you mention it.

I had the same question before I bought my GC Quad. Someone had responded to me that the some of the cameras in the Quad capture at a much higher resolution/frame rate. It's funny that you don't find this information on the Foresight website. You only see a check list comparison of the two units.
I think the ball data is the big difference. Both are accurate and have low latency for simulation. I believe, the extra ball data can really help you improve faster. However, there is a big price difference. It really depends on your budget and ultimate goals. If you have the $$ and want to know exactly what is going on at all times with the ball/club, buy the Quad. If you want to improve and have a ton of fun, buy the GC3.

I have used the QUAD vs GC3 outside for a driver fitting.
The numbers were for all practical purposes identical.

Thanks. I had reached out to a Foresight contact as well and feedback is similar. Feedback was that the GC3 is within 0.5 degrees on launch angle and 250 rpms vs the Quad. All said nothing that shoudl be noticable for the vast majority (my interpretation) on the screen. Appreciate the feedback here is always!

Yeah, I wouldn't expect any differences at all. The GC3 has one less cam for club data. cam angles might be slightly different, but should be pretty much the same and just as reliable.
