Gc3 vs Trackman club path difference…

Just had a lesson, with the pro’s trackman and also set up my gc3 for comparison.

The difference I was experiencing was that trackman would say my club path was around 1 degree from in-to-out and my gc3 was saying 5 degrees, which is a pretty significant difference. This is something I’ve noticed in different locations also (driving range, garage).

Is there something inherently different between how they measure the path? Have I somehow messed up the sticker placement on the club heads? I notice the hybrid is potentially closer to what I’d expect at around 3 degrees from the inside…

you mentioned nothing about setting up the target alignment stick on your GC3 prior to your lesson, was this done?

Yup! Everything was aligned. As I said, get the same results on my gc3 wherever. But on multiple trackman setups my path is near 0.

Trackman measures at maximum compression and Foresight measures at point of touch. They are different measurements and will always be different.

Significant differences will be the result of alignment, regardless of whether you say they're both aligned.

Ball flight came out the same on both, a pretty tight draw which is why the trackman data seemed a little more realistic. Just annoying for my own practice!
