Updating FSX 2020 software (is it necessary to uninstall old version)?

Hi all, I noticed that there is a newer version of the FSX 2020 software available for download (v8.2.0.3). I currently have version 8.0.2.7 installed on my windows 10 PC. Is it necessary/recommended to uninstall the older version of FSX 2020 on my PC, or can I just run the installer for the new version that I downloaded from the foresightsports website?
