FSX Swing Cam Rotation (portrait / landscape)?

I feel like this is going to be a "duh" question - but I've poked around the options in FSX, searched this site, and used Google to search this site - and haven't found an answer.

Is there an option somewhere to rotate the image from the Swing Cam? I'm using ELP cameras from AliExpress.

I would try the software for the camera and save the changes. The drivers for my machine vision cameras came with software to adjust the camera setting before a program accesses it. Also I would make sure you are setting the camera up so the resolution give you and image with more height. For example I have a 1440x1080 camera that I turn 90 degrees to make the image taller ie now a 1080x1440 resolution. Then I change the setting in software to rotate the view. I found I didn’t need a wide field of view in the normal orientation but needed a taller field of view to capture the top of the swing.

The camera didn't come with any specific software. The cameras come from Ali Express, so tbh I wouldn't be super keen on downloading any software with them anyway.

I need them in portrait, not landscape.

Well right now your probably just using a generic Windows driver for the camera. A manufacturer driver and software will give you the access to adjust those settings. Otherwise you are at the mercy of Foresight and they are not very keen on making changes to support none partnered products.

There is no manufacturer software available that I've been able to find. My comment about not trusting AliExpress software was ancillary.

The rotation option does not provide a reasonable solution unfortunately as, due to the space constraints, I lose quite a bit of the frame and won't be able to capture my hands, club, feet, etc.

I appreciate the help from everyone - and knowing that I'm not missing an extremely obvious image rotation option somewhere is good to know (albeit very surprising)

Yeah Foresight takes that into account since Imaging Source (recommend camera) provides a driver and software to change all of that.

I know it’s an AliExpress purchased camera but I would still search around and try to find the actual manufacturer of the camera. A ton of those resellers are just rebranding the product. If you can find another brand that offers the driver and software I would try it and you might find you get more control. I feel like most of the cameras on AliExpress are Spinel or Kayeton rebrands. Both of those offer drivers and software to adjust the output.
