    New GCQUAD not broadcasting Wifi

Just received my GCQUAD and trying to connect it my iPad, but the unit is not showing up under Wifi. I've tried multiple iPads and it's not there. Did multiple re-boots of both iPad and GC. I found a help article about having the set the wifi network off local and onto the GC3's network, but I am unable to find a comparable setting on the GCQUAD.
I did successfully register it with a direct ethernet connection. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Creating a support ticket with Foresight seems to be the best way to go.

Which app are you using? I haven't tried in a while, but I remember something about the quad connecting to the ipad with bluetooth, so maybe try that.

Did that, but it's a holiday weekend, so I don't expect a response till next week.

It's not showing up under bluetooth in the App, FSX Pro, neither.

The issue is, I'm still waiting on delivery of my computer, so I was hoping to use the iPad apps in the meantime. Foresight Sports confirmed that I should be able to do that, but I did stumble upon some info on there site that says you have to activate FSX 2020 on a computer in order to activate Wifi, Bluetooth, on the Quad.

So you don't have access to any computer?

I remember something similar. Also, Bluetooth isn't available with the quad - it's for GC2 only I believe (I spent a bit of time last weekend trying to do the same thing as it's a bit irritating to have to change to device wifi on the iPad and not be able to use it to watch golf, listen to podcasts, etc.).

I believe I also had to actually connect with USB-C to get the Quad to register. Ethernet didn't seem to do the trick.

FSX SHOULD run on pretty much any PC. It may not run simulation well - but it should boot up and allow you to connect and register your device. Then you can uninstall until your primary PC arrives, and in theory - have WIFI enabled so you can use it with your iPad.

Quad doesn’t have Bluetooth? That’s news to me, since I’ve been using it for YEARS!

I've used BLE connect and wifi on quad with iPad. Just don't have both running or you will get duplicate shot data.
moving forward I use wifi at home with pc but will use ble with iPad app.

                Is this on an iPad?

You're right though - I misspoke. What I meant was that FSX Pro (which I assumed was what he wanted to use on the iPad) does not support bluetooth (or Foresight's documentation is outdated which wouldn't surprise me either).

Yes this was on a iPad, but...... my computer arrived today. I successfully installed, activated and used the fsx 2020 software but there is still no wifi or bluetooth signal being picked up from the unit. Still haven't heard anything from FS.

Just to follow-up..... I finally was able to get through on the phone and the tech support person, Percy, was extremely nice and helpful. He logged onto my computer, double checked all the settings, comfirmed that the unit was not broadcasting Wifi and ultimately re-installed the firmware and it worked fine after that. For what it's worth, he confirmed that you cannot connect the Quad using Bluetooth, Wifi only, So not sure what's going on with Baller and Wizzard.

I think they were saying that you can connect to FSX on PC via Bluetooth, though I haven't tried. It's a bit irritating to have to disconnect from the internet to connect to the GC Quad directly via Wifi, so I've kept mine hard wired.

Glad to hear you got your issues sorted.

Like I said before you can connect your Quad to your iPad with wifi or bt low energy (ble) just don't connect both at the same time or you will get duplicate shots. In my sim area I use wifi to my pc. You hath been confirmed wrong.
                      Really doubting a Wizard? 😆 🤣
Hold on I'll post an image.
