    GoPro as swing webcam

Hey guys. I have heard that we can use GoPro as the webcam for fsx
however, after I set it up. The max it can achieve is 60fps
And the measured fps is only 30fps ๐Ÿ˜…

Any of you guys have this problem?

yeah.. I just bought one too and realized webcam is limited to 30fps :| I'd love to know if there's any resolution.

Go pro may claim that it outputs 60fps but thatโ€™s not technically correct. Itโ€™s only outputting 30fps and doubling every frame.

I haven't tested this yet because I'm traveling but wanted to put it out there just in case it did help.

quote from link below: "THE SOLUTION (for me):
BACKGROUND APPLICATION MAX FRAME RATE. This is a setting that (for me) was controlled by my Nvidia graphics card.

Go into the Nvidia control panel > Manage 3D Settings > Global Settings OR Program Settings (Global = Global, Program = for a specific program)
NOTE: If you want to keep the global settings unchanged, make sure to select "GoPro Webcam.exe" as the application under Program Settings (you'll need to add it to the list, default install location is "C:\Program Files (x86)\GoPro\GoPro Webcam\GoPro Webcam.exe"

Now, find the setting called "Background Application Max Frame Rate." FOR ME, this was set to 20 FPS. I have changed these settings before and likely decided to keep background application FPS to a minimum to reduce system usage. Change this value to the FPS value set on the camera, click APPLY, and restart the GoPro Webcam utility (You have to restart the application for the change to take affect)."
