Gc quad vs fsx 2020 carry distances

I have noticed at times that my "carry distance" is not the same on my actual GC Quad unit vs FSX 2020. Sometimes it could be as much as a 10 yard difference. This occurs on the driving range with "no wind" or weather conditions. Which is correct? The FSX 2020 carry distance is the greater of the two. The club and ball speed read the same on both.

Even if you're at the range, it is still simulation. The Quad is always going to be correct for where you are. There is likely something different in the sim or how the program calculates is, but the Quad is 100% here and now real life.

they will match 99.9% of the time. Every once in a while, it'll be different. everyone knows about the low spin shots. The quad gets those right. They happen on the range too.

Most of the time for me, the cause is some "on course conditions". Elevation is the most frequent cause I've noticed as I tend to practice with no wind at the same 60 degree / 60 feet above sea level settings.

Are you checking the elevation and Temperature of the FSX settings? this two values affect the ball fligth.

Yes. I see this discrepancy on the driving range sometimes with my normal settings. 65ft above sea level and 80 deg temperature. I think Baller is correct. It's just the way FSX 2020 calculates the data vs the actual unit. The club head and ball speed always read the same on the unit and FSX 2020.
