Updated firmware on BLP, downloaded new FSX Play for BLP subscription.
Can't get the download manager to work meaning can't download any courses and program just freezes on a screen that says it trying to open download manager...please wait.

Ran the download manager as admin (recommendation from foresight), takes me to the .net site to repair, repair successful, still won't work.

Running Windows 11 Home. Did see a pop-up window saying would only work with Windows 7, 8, 10 somewhere during installation. If this is the issue, then I'm stuck until foresight figures their crap out.

Anyone able to connect via ethernet or Wifi that could not before and if so, what did you do? I still can only connect via USB and I refuse to use Play any longer unless I can connect another way. USB to my Quad bugs me. I don't want to bump it, break it, and not be able to update without sending it in. That would happen to me.

Did anyone figure out what the new practice areas are on courses? I looked through a handful of courses and don’t see anything different. No new practice areas

Thank you god. But please, please fix in this order

      1) Lie penalties- if you turn the rough the ball stops like the it long but there is no penalty (actually 90% flyer) Sand penalty is non existent

      2) Sticky Fringe- putting through a fringe should have about 10%-15% penalties not what feels like 75%

      3) Practice mode Skip Hole- we should be able to switch holes within the same course without backing all the way back out to the main screen

      4) Toggle on/off Auto Pre hole Flyover- please for the love of god give us the option of the fly over on/off before every hole

      5) Aim line after drops- When playing two players Player A hits it in a hazard and takes a drop. The software load Player B next shot with the Aim Line in the complete opposite direction from the hole. When using the keyboard arrows or curser from minimap it’s impossible to get the minimap to rotate around and point in the correct direction.

there are more but please start with these

Yes I would love for lie penalties to be fixed for different grass lengths and not all flier lies. Sand penalties work good for me I like them. 40 yards in have to kind of play more of a sand blast out as a hey are like 30-40%. Over 40 yards is usually around a 5-10 yard penalty.

I do not have Play but in 2020 lie penalties depend on the course. Some have lots of Lie Penalty (10-20% reduction in distance), some Severe Lie Penalty (seems like 40-60% reduction), some mostly Flier Chance. You may not agree with how a given course is set up but it's a course-by-course issue, not a system issue. Sand penalties are as nfear24 says, which I think is ok.

I think the idea in FSX Play was to fix all that by letting us change the lie penalties light rough, moderate, heavy. If it worked properly that would be awesome but what really happens as far as I can tell is the light, moderate, heavy only change how the ball rolls through the rough when the ball lands but has no real effect when hitting. For instance if i put the rough on heavy and my shot lands in it the ball takes like one bounce then stops. For me that seems like rough that is 3-4 inches deep but then I get a 85-90% flier chance coming out of it. Rough that deep should be like two extra clubs not one less. I would think the formula would be pretty easy.

(light rough) 5% hurt but with a 10% chance it will be a flier which would be +5%
        (moderate) 5%-10% hurt
        (heavy) 10%- 18% hurt
        (fairway bunker) 2%-5% hurt
        (green side bunker) 30%-40% hurt
        (putting through fringe) 5%-10% hurt
(putting through light rough) 20% for every 1-2 feet ball rolls through rough
(putting through moderate rough) 30% for every 1-2 feet ball rolls through rough
(putting through heavy rough) 40% for every 1-2 feet ball rolls through rough

Can't get FSX Play to run at the moment. I have a laptop provided by Foresight Sports but the graphics can't support the software although everything is running on maximum. Hope they get it sorted out shortly!
