    Foresight and Bushnell are terrible companies. They make you pay a yearly subscription but check constantly that your device is registered and tell you it's not even though it is. Then it locks you out and tells you to call Technical Support.

      Because when it works, it works great. I talked to support and they said my device is experiencing a known issue. There will be an official fix in a week. According to tech support, the issue is related to my Gold trial switching to Basic. It's a bug that is being fixed in an upcoming patch. As far as "risk", If i buy a product for $4000 with my hard earned money and use within the parameters, I expect it to work.

      The sub model and region lock was well known before the product launched. If you're getting into something that has a remote authentication or DRM attached to it, this sort of thing is a risk.

    The Quads have all had region lock and need to connect to the server every once in a while. I've had my Quad for almost 5 years and never had a problem with any of this.

    There must be more to this story than posted.

      I called support. It's an issue that they are dealing with. I'm in Florida. The full issue is that sometimes it locks and unlocks. Even when connected to the internet. The tech support guy said this has happened to "some customers". Also there is another issue with firmware 1.6.0.72. There is supposed to be a patch in a week.

      I downloaded 1.6 and my unit froze. V24 W33 error.

      I should have it back by next week after sending it in.
