I have played one round at find it to be a bit easier on the GPU, only because simultaneous Swing Catalyst seems faster. Later review of Task Monitor shows 90% utilization of GPU, which is a bit less than before this release when it was always flat-out 100%.
All preview fly-overs have the wrong par number. Famous #7, for example previews as a Par 5 before you set up to play the hole. Famous #18 previewed in the flyover as a Par 3. Minor, as once you are ready to hit the proper par shows in upper left corner.
Edit: I played Jimmie Austin today for the first time. It has exactly this same 'par' problem; it would appear that the par (not the handicap index, which is correct) shows from the prior hole on each pre-play flyover. PB is just one manifestation.Last edited by dawms; 10-12-2022, 03:34 AM.

I splurged today and purchased it. Got a quick round in. Love it. I've never played the real course, but this rendition really shines. Each grass surface has a distinct look, sound, and ball effect. The waves, mountains and houses look great. Very realistic. I wish there was more sound of the waves crashing. It seems to be there, but very subtle. I got 60 fps at the highest graphics setting on my RX 3080 super, so I would think any 3000 series card could manage 30 fps on at least medium.

I think it looks great, plays great and if you don't already have it then why not buy it and get a free course as well with it
I have played the real course a ton as I live pretty close and I feel it is as spot on as it could be...I've only played one full round on it but played a few holes another time and I am happy.
Playing PB in real life will cost most people more than this purchase, btw.,

Are the homes and surrounding effects shown similar to the real ones ??Originally posted by Baller View PostI think it looks great, plays great and if you don't already have it then why not buy it and get a free course as well with it

Similar enough that you would not be able to notice anything different from memory. Like on the 8th tee box, it's a blind shot and there are two noticeable houses in real life and your safe shot is to aim at the left one. Those two houses are there in Play as well and they look pretty close...they might stand out a little more in Play than in real life, but it's nice to have that there. There is a lot of detail that does show and again, I think it looks great. I would say it's the best Play course yet by far.

If you stay there and play, it'll be $1k for the room plus $595 to play one round.
If you manage to not have to stay there, it's $595 plus $50 cart fee if you take one, OR If you get a caddie, add $150 + tip (and make it a big one cause they don't get much from the caddie fee).
Anyway, just do it. Your head isn't likely to regret it. It's accurate.

I just completed my first round on Pebble in Play. I can honestly say 100% improvement. I think Foresight did a great job on the detail here. Nothing seemed off other than sand seems to fly further than what you really hit it but I think that is sim golf in general when it comes to chip and flops.
Did the get rid of the commentator? I could not find the setting and was curious if they improved the commentary during the round. Can you also create and save your course settings for all courses you play or do you need to adjust each time you play?
My only frustration is room setting, run as admin, make changes and nothing changes. Outside of that and once I get that nailed down I am good.
Overall, very pleased with Play on a course with the new graphics, gimme circle. I am glad I upgraded.
