I still passed as I just dont see the value, and I firmly believe it should be included in clubhead data, but I am curious if anyone took the plunge, and what your thoughts were. Cheers!

Anybody buy the essential putting analysis when it was $1000?

I did - I have not tested it yet but the wife wanted it as that was one of the features as to why we sold the GC2 and HMT and upgraded to the Quad. I don't disagree with wanting as part of club data but ok as to the uniqueness of what the putting pate brings. Not to sound like money is nothing, you just dropped $20k for the Quad with tax and club data. Move on. I figured I am all in so why not. We will use it this winter to look at the putting flaws and strengths.

Yeah, I went for it and have used it expensively since purchase. I think if you spent the time it would be worth it, but it seems to me that you need to go step by step to really nail down what works for you and that's likely the biggest issue in that most people won't.
It's important to have a consistent swing path, which you can see without putting analysis, and then it's slao important to have a slight upward aoa, which you cannot see without putting analysis. Right now I've decided that even though I am generally an above average putter, my bad days really suck because I know I am really inconsistent sometimes and perhaps buying this was my way to say F that, it's time to get it right.
So, I've been working hard on it and I think off to a good start but a whole long journey to go.
No, do you need putting analysis to be an amazing putter? Hell no. But...as Scotty said above, you spent that much already, what's another $1k for those of us who purchased long ago, it doesn't seem like that much in the big picture. I never would have done it for more than that, but it was low enough for me to consider and then decided to go for it.

I actually got on to buy it, and they had raised the price again. I know its just money, but sometimes its just the principle of it for me. Ive not joined golf clubs because they nickle and dime you over things. Had one I weas gonna join and passed because they wanted to charge $3 to walk and carry your bags..... with a few other things, but that just doesnt sit right with me.

Nope, like I said...I wouldn't pay full price for it. Not worth it.
I'm honestly surprised they raised it back since the email didn't say an end date. Maybe that way people who were on the fence jump on it next time..like hopefully for those that want it, they have it for Black Friday or something.
