GC 3 driver readings very low

My son just got 'sim in a box' from foresight sports and had one of their folks install it. Came with a GC3. Good experience in general BUT the driver distance readings are very low.
For example, had 4 people on it last night who generally hit driver 220-260. The longest recording was 182 yds. The installer tried it, usually hits it 280+..couldn't get over 200 reading.
Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions?
I've read a lot of reviews praising the accuracy of the GC3 but this just seems to be way off. I was planning on building a simulator in my new home and was planning on using the GC3 but this experience has me wondering.

Were those the reading in the FSX software or on the top of the unit?

Thanks for your response. just tried it again. The fsx (screen data in driving range mode) showed 167yds(total I assume), the unit display showed carry of 157. The ball speed was only 111 but the spin rate seemed high to me (5500). Even the installer had very high spin rates. Launch angle was 17.1 on unit, 2.5 degrees left.
I know the carry on course would have been greater than 157yds. Hopefully we'll get some decent weather here in PA and I can try it outside.

We hope to be able to talk to Foresight tech support tomorrow to see what they have to say

Probably “indoor swing syndrome”……

Also driver seems to be more accurate from the back zone of the hitting area.

If other clubs are reading fine, I bet on indoor swing syndrome.
Take it out side and I bet everything reads “normal” with driver.

Kid Doc was right, "indoor swing syndrome". My son took his unit to the driving range and it was very accurate. He has recently 'tamed' this and is seeing much better results indoors.

Good to hear. The other thing to watch out for is if the base of the BLP/GC3 is below the hitting surface it can screw up the readings. You can have it above the hitting surface, but not below.
