    Ball Testing with the GC2

I want to do some personal ball testing. I have GC2 + HMT. I'm pretty sure it will catch any ball speed differences, but what about spin? Does anyone know if it is calculated or measured? If calculated, will it pick up the difference between balls or is it a generic calculation?

    TIA!

A GC2, especially with an HMT, is perfect for what your are trying to do. The GC2 is great at measuring spin, and the HMT should allow you to see how your ball striking compares shot to shot.

I have done quite a bit of ball testing with my GC2 and i continue to be impressed by how well the GC2 picks up ball data.

On the extreme, if you try a 2 piece surlyn cover, vs. a 3-5 piece urethane you will see the biggest differences, however, I have been able to notice differences even between a Prov1 and Srixon Zstar XV, vs. VICE pro vs. callaway pro soft

A super good review from the guys at mygolfspy have done extensive testing using GCquad (similar techology) which backs this up.

      Hope this helps
