General Issues - Anyone having the same?

I thought I'd start a new thread to see if anyone else is having the same issues I'm having with my current hardware/software set up:
    GCHawk with club data
    FSX2020
    FSXPlay

Here's a general list of my issues that I don't think I've seen on here quite as much as some other issues (e.g. penalty drop and mini map issues in FSXPlay).

    - FSXPlay freezes sometimes when the last player hits the green causing me to have to exit/save the game and reload it (lots of fun when playing with a group of friends).

    - Constant missed shots; this is maybe the most frustrating as it's been an issue since I first switched from the Quad to the Hawk. The program will indicate that the Hawk has locked on to the ball but when the ball is hit, the shot doesn't register. This can happen on all shots, but it seems to have particular difficulty with chip shots. Last night we had about 6 instances where the guy had to chip the ball 6 or 7 times before it actually registered the shot.

    - Recalibrating the GCHawk - I did this last night before playing with friends in the hopes that it would help to register the shots better, but it seemed to somehow make it worse? Also, the recalibration process requires you to go in to the stored data folder and delete certain files or the option to map the floor doesn't come up in the calibration tool. What? Why? Can this company do anything right or make anything at least a little usable? I emailed support to ask why the floor mapping wasn't coming up and they responded that they made a guide to show people how to delete the files to correct this. Why not, spit balling here, actually fix it. Or address this in the support section of the website, just do something rather than have people have to contact support when it's a known issue?

At this point it feels like I've bought a car that doesn't work in reverse and also randomly shuts off while driving it.

Wanted to know if anyone else had these issues and if they've found anything that has helped?

Honestly with my GC Quad setup I'm done with Play until they get the bugs fixed. 2020 works flawlessly and I can count the number of issues on one hand in literally hundreds and hundreds of rounds. I was informed by Foresight to play 14 specific courses with Play on 1.6v and the first round I played on one of them I continued to have all kinds of issues. Its super frustrating when Play could be so incredible without the bugs.

I sent off an email to the COO (his email was the highest up on the ladder that I had) and although he didn't email me back, he messaged the person who sold/installed our Hawk and he came out the next day. Credit to him, he's been by our place a few times to get it working properly, but I'm sure there is only so much he can do. He did something to the video card which he thought would improve things, unfortunately it didn't and when my dad and his friends played the next day Play froze so often that they just quit. From what I'm reading on there and from what Foresight has said, these bugs are currently just a part of Play and they had similar issues with 2020. Makes you wonder why they thought it was ok to charge $650 for it right out the gate; shame on me as a consumer for thinking the product I was buying would work properly I guess?

I know of 2 golf courses nearby who both won't use Play on their indoor simulators because of these issues.

I also bought an RTX 3060Ti last year when we got Play. Foresight asked which video card we had after I told them about the issues and when I them the specs they said, "well that's the minimum required which could be part of the issue with Play freezing/shutting down". I bought the card because that's what the website said at the time, now it's potentially not good enough.

The foresight sales person/installer also mentioned we should try moving our hitting area up a couple feet to help solve the issues with the Hawk missing shots. We will try it and I'll post again when we have played a few times.

Once a certain software we apparently can't mention on here is available I will probably switch to that and only use FSX2020 for the range with club data (that seems to work decently for me).
Not sure what the cost will be, but compared to the tens of thousands currently poured in to this thing, I guess it's a drop in the bucket.

Overall, it's pretty frustrating and I'd equate it to buying a car that doesn't go in reverse and randomly turns off while driving it.
