    GC2 ‘catch’ snapped

I went to put my GC2 away today, and when I closed it and clipped the front ‘foot’ over to lock it - it snapped.

Is this a replaceable part, or am I looking at sending it to Foresight for weeks?

It’s only 1 side that snapped, so I could probably get some decent plastic glue and try and fix it. Any recommendations on a good glue?

My other thought is to get a strong elastic band or something to hold the GC2 closed to prevent so much pressure on the broken catch / foot if I glue it?

It’s easy to replace but I doubt foresight will send the part. I’d ask and failing that glue it.

What needs to come off / out to get this off? I could potentially give the broken one to the 3D designer at work, and have them 3D print me a new one. I'm sure a dab of glue would make it usable though.

Mine broke off when I had my GC2 and I used shaft epoxy and had work fine ever since.

Looks like a major PITA. Much easier just to glue it unless you are intent on keeping the OEM look or you lost the piece that broke off..

Agreed! I think I’ll try the glue route first!
Although I’ve worked on a lot worse, there’s the fear of breaking something when doing the procedure!

Andy wbo sells the megaflashes also sells the front leg so you may want to get in touch with him. He quoted me $50 when I last enquired.
