Has any body have issues with BLP not reading driver hits? I just upgraded from a skytrak to BLP due to miss-hits/mis-reads and the BLP seems to read everything else very well but misses my drives almost 50% of the time. I don't wear white shoes, use yellow birdie tees, area isn't in direct sunlight or bright LEDs.. kind of dumbfounded.. also, I can't get fsx pro to connect to my PC via the USB they provide. The PC recognizes the BLP but won't allow me to connect to the fsx pro and login, it will only do it through Wi-Fi, my wifi signal in my garage isn't the strongest, I'll prefer to connect to the BLP by USB.
Need help with BLP; mis-reads/USB

How big is your hitting mat, My dad used to have a 5x4 mat and if you look close the mat would move while swinging driver causing no reads. He switched to a 10x5 one now and does not have any issues with no reads. If the mat moves there is a good chance it'll miss it.

If the ball moves at all prior to or during your swing (before you hit the ball), you will get a non-read. Fat irons can create movement of the mat and ball just before contact, resulting in a non-read. Players who rely on lots of ground force to create more power can move a small mat ever so slightly while swinging, creating enough movement to result in a non-read. As noted above, a larger mat will help with this. So too would adhering the mat to the floor (tape, glue, etc.). The BLP can be very sensitive to mat/ball movement. Lastly, make sure your BLP is at the same level as your hitting surface; even a small amount can matter. Good luck!

My mat isn't moving, I have it secured by double sided tape and markers where it belongs, no shifting of the mat. I noticed my brother swings on it too and it reads his drives without any problems, I feel that I shut my driver face pretty hard through impact and the BLP doesn't like it, my brother in law does the same thing and it doesn't read his drives either. Is this a common issue?

I solved the issue, my driver swings are reading great now. If you're having mis-reads, check the wall behind you, I had a line of license plates sitting on a ledge in my garage behind me (where the BLP faces), I'm assuming the reflective material used in the plates were causing issues, leading to mis-reads on my drives.
