Please tell me, I am using GCQuad and FSX 2020 for golf.
I used two DFK 33UX273 cameras to review the shot but only got about 20 views before the cameras froze and couldn't continue.
    How to remedy this situation?
    Tks,

My experience came down to the incredibly large amount of data amount that was being pushed to the PC by the cameras.

You need high quality cables and the shorter the better. It also helps if you can isolate the cameras so that each is on a different USB bus your motherboard. My motherboard has plenty of ports to plug into, but some are on the same "bus", meaning the actual electrical connection on the motherboard.

So I was able to find a schematic that showed which ports ran on which bus and once I separated them, swapped cables-I used the admittedly expensive camera manufacturer cables and things ran much smoother.

The other thing to check would be the amount of ram and the CPU you are using, they are used much more for the processing then is the GPU at this point so that one doesn't really matter.

Summary: as short and as high a quality of cables that you can afford, see if you can get a schematic for your motherboard and get the data coming in on different buses make sure you've got at least 32 megabytes of ram and an i5 processor.

This is an excellent explanation of the solution and bang on in every aspect.

      I am using ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4 Mainboard, Core i7 12700k CPU, 64G Ram, 1TB SSD.
      I am using 2m cable.
I see an error message in device manager about the USB3 Vision device, will that affect the camera?

Processor and RAM are fine assuming the RAM matches your motherboard specs. The error message could be drivers (try re-installing them), proper USB cable (there are several variants) or something else entirely - difficult to say without more info.

        Suggest:
        1. re-install drivers for USB bus (download them directly from ASUS if avail)
        2. ensure you are using the proper USB Cables (likely USB 3.0) and good quality cables
        3. ensure your USB port is USB 3.0 many motherboards include a mix of 3.0 and older 2.0 ports - look for the colored ones
        4. try one camera at a time first, get it working them find a second USB Bus for the second camera. This may mean adding a PCI USB add-in card.

I tried reinstall the usb bus driver but couldn't find a driver to fix.
I'm using the camera on the motherboard's usb3.2 port.
I use cable TetherPro USB 3.0 to Micro B Right Angle..
When using the camera on swing catalyst software everything is fine, but on FSX the camera crashes.

That's a top notch MB. You are trying to run 2 cameras, correct? Do you have usb ports on the front or top of your case? If you do, is the tab inside blue? The blue tab usually signifies USB 3.0 or better. If you've got blue tabs, I'd plug one cable into the front and one into the back (with a blue tab) that should put them on a different "bus" on the MB. You might want to try installing the drivers from Imaging Source?

Also, are you using more than one monitor/projector on FSX?

I used the blue USB port but it's all on the back, I'll try using the front port camera.
I download the camera driver from here: https://www.theimagingsource.com/en-...3u/dfk33ux273/
Primarily I use an FSX monitor.

Not sure what you mean by FSX monitor, but are you using 2 0r 3 monitors? FSX sometimes has issues matching what to display if there are multiple monitors. If you can use 2 displays, could you set your Windows settings for multiple monitors, run FSX driving range on one, and Swing Catalyst on the other?

Got to get some errands done now, but I'll check back in later today. I wish you well, tech can be very frustrating when it doesn't work.

I only use one projector screen to run the FSX software, sometimes I use swing catalyst on the other screen.
But when I use only one FSX software on one projector screen, my camera still freezes.
Thank you very much, have a nice day!

Not sure what to tell you, I've gone over everything I could think of except for one thing: heat. Could it be getting hot and locking everything up? When you say the camera freezes, does everything else work? Can you browse the web, send email, write on notepad?

Everything still works normally, I used a water cooler for the CPU and opened the processes to check everything was fine.
When the camera freezes, the FSX software can still be used normally, only the camera freezes.
I'll try inserting a USB pic card to split the camera and see how it goes.
I sent you a picture showing the usb3 vision device (unused). Do you have the same error as me? Is there any way to fix the error?

Sorry vutung, I'm just not able to help, my limited skills are showing. I've googled your issue and it might be worthwhile to try and install drivers to that device from device manager. https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeAr...GJ1SAM&l=en-US

Have you tried swapping the cameras to see if it affects both cameras?

Does Swing Catalyst see both cameras?

I hate to say this, but I think you need to get in touch with Foresight to see if they can help.

On swing catalyst software, those two cameras work fine, only when used on FSX software does it fail.
I sent an email to foresight asking for help but to no avail.
I'm very sad and don't know how to deal with it.
https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeAr...GJ1SAM&l=en-US Does this method work for the DFK 33UX273 camera?

It should work, just have to make sure you choose the correct drivers when doing the install.
